Meet the team

Mandy Topley

Specialising in Ear Wax Removal via microsuction.

Hi l am Mandy, i am a qualified ear care practitioner and a registered Nurse with active NMC registration.

My qualifications include completion of the tympa ear care practitioner  (CPD registered) course, which is also accredited by the BSA,  I also have a   First Class BSC with Honours (degree)  in adult nursing,  completed at the University of East Anglia, with over 11 years experience as a registered nurse.

My experience extends to helping with the healthcare needs of patients with complex needs, dementia, learning disabilities and much more. I offer a patient friendly service which is tailored to meet the needs of my patients. I price my service to offer affordable costs and scale my pricing plans to be fair.

My passion for ear care comes from my own difficulties with hearing which has been due to earwax build up caused by narrow ear canals,  therefore i fully appreciate just how detrimental this can be on a person's quality of life.

Many people have noticed that earwax removal is no longer a core service of the NHS, now many GP'S and Community Nurses no longer offer this service. This has left patients waiting on referrals to specialist services. The contribution of financial challenges facing the NHS trusts has caused the implementation of a strict criteria for referrals to ear care health services.

Norwich Community Ear Care has the aim of providing an ear care service to the community at an affordable price, so that it can be easily accessed by all patients in need at a time and place that fits the patients needs.

I am fully insured to practice healthcare services.

Nicola Stevens

Hi, I’m Nicola—a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse with over 17 years of experience in healthcare, based in Norwich for nearly 25 years.

I qualified with a First-Class Honors degree in Adult Nursing from the University of East Anglia in 2014 and later completed a postgraduate diploma at masters level in Public Health at the University of Suffolk in 2018.

I am registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, fully insured and a competent member of the Academy for Health Care Science.

My passion lies in ear health and making a real difference for people experiencing hearing challenges. Since 2022, I’ve worked as an ear care specialist, offering safe, gentle, and effective treatments for both adults and children aged 4 and up, including those with complex ear conditions. I take pride in creating a calm and reassuring environment—particularly for clients who may feel anxious or are neurodivergent—and my high success rate and glowing reviews reflect this client-first approach.

Whether you’re struggling with ear discomfort, hearing loss, or simply seeking professional, compassionate care, you’re in safe hands with me.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of two grown-up children, happily married to my husband Nick, and an avid traveller who believes life is for living as you never know what’s around the corner.
